I’m from New Zealand.

I should add, in NZ a kiwi is our national bird and a common nickname for NZ’ers. It’s got nothing to do with kiwi(fruit)

And I apologize. The nice kid was named Joe. But we read Tobacco Road in English class and one of the characters was a degenerate Southerner named Jeeter. So that became his new name.
