why the code name

Strictly amatuer stuff , Hare Scrambles , Flattrack , TT and Ice racing . Won a few , but grew up in Flint Mi in the 70's , the heyday of Flattrack . Jay Springsteen , Garth Brow , Randy Goss , Scott Parker . Jeff Stanton was my parents neighbor in the 80-90's .
Strictly motocross for me. Made it to a semi pro level. Mostly all west coast. Jeff Stanton was a stud. Not a natural rider just tough. I rode back when men were men. Rode a CR500 once my balls dropped.

I always thought it was because you rode the insane CR two stroke Hondas back in the day. mtmuley
1977 CR250 Husqvarna then a 1986 CR500 brand new , that was a beast . I raced that in Harescrambles for a while . Then a 660 Rotax in a Ron Woods frame , that was a blast on the ice . Then CRF 450's , like three of them .

Salmonchaser;
Caught my first king out of the Kenai in 1960 or 61 I was about 6 years old, caught my first salmon slam, (one day) King, silver, dog (chum), red (sockeye) and pink out of the Kenai by the time I was 8 or 9. Fished most the major river systems from Northern California to the Yukon at least once in the intervening 68 years. Guided sport fishing out in Bristol Bay for 20 years, I would still rather hunt elk and mule deer.

Ya… selling it was one of my better decisions.

Still a lot of fun though.
I wish I had kept my CR500 , they're crazy money now . I raced one on a half mile flattrack that was insane fast , a clay car track that was all groove , no cush . That was a crazy combo , too much torque , it would carry the front wheel the whole straight . It was my friends and he was intimidated by the track so I rode it for him , crashed in the semi .
