What's for dinner?

Ah welcome to the first few years of married life. :D Rule #1 Make sure your daughters know how to cook before you send them off into the big world.

She brings home the money and I cook dinner...

Dang some good food posted here.

Last night was jalapeño, onion and cheese stuffed elk burgers.

I try and run the smoker at least once a week, will have to post some pics up.

Randy from my expereience I do think the spring bears taste better. Less fat and they've been eating mostly grass, compared to fall bears that are putting the fat on and getting into carrion and ants and grubs. Just my personal observations, anyone else have any thoughts?

BTW dinner tonight is leftover alfredo pasta with a chicken breast.

Baby reds with elk backstrap coated with an olive oil/southwest chipotle seasoning that we love.... some iceberg lettuce with Blue cheese on the side too...

Peach Pie for dessert...

Tri-tip marinated overnight in Worchestershire sauce, then seasoned with gralic and pepper. Wrapped airtight in foil with a half cup of water, a little BBQ sauce on top and slow-cooked in the oven for 4 hours at 250 degrees. Fork tender.

Some beef steaks from last week.

The son graduates Highschool on Fri. Family is driving in as I type. At Miss Robbie's and Mac's request, I'm making Veal Picata, for the night before dinner. Fresh Aaparagus, with a light cheese topper, rice piflaf (extra toasted almonds), a Char'd for wine, and cheese cake with their choice of fresh berries, or a cholocate/raspberry glaze.

Tonight elk nuggets wrapped in bacon, cooked on the grill. Fresh grilled corn and french fries.
