Carpal Tunnel surgery does not sound fun. Good luck. I am now 9 days removed from rotator cuff and bicep reattachment surgery. Hunt and peck typing.

Lilhowje83, will you let us know how your recovery goes? I have severe CP in my left hand and moderate in my right. Been putting surgery off for 3 years on the left. I've yet to hear from anyone I know that's had CP surgery say that they wish they would have had it sooner....but it's painful as hell drawing my bow.

I will definitely keep you updated. I have been fighting it for 3+ years and have tried everything imaginable: chiropractor, massage therapist, stretches, ointments essential oils, etc. All with no success. And it has gotten so bad that I can hardly sleep and do even a lot of my daily tasks. In the last year I have had two associates get the surgery done by the local hand specialist, and both have said their only regret was not doing it sooner. So after hearing them swear by it, I set up a consultation. Before we opted for surgery he gave me some cortisone shots right in the carpal tunnel, which provide amazing relief, but lasted only 9 months, but with the relief it provided it made it very apparent that it was in fact Carpal Tunnel Sybdrome. So after the shot wore off I made another appointment and we decided to schedule surgery for yesterday.

I felt that the surgery went well, I am not in too much pain I have just been using Tylenol to curb the pain right now, I haven't had to use any of the prescribed pain medicine. I am keeping my hands iced and elevated and that helps too.

The doctor said he has a 95% success rate with almost no return cases. I will miss a week of work and can then go back on light duty for 6-8 weeks and then I should get the green light. I will keep you updated.
