This year I decided it was time to go after a couple tags I’ve been working on. Wyoming pronghorn had always been on my radar and knew it would be where I’d find the buck I wanted. I drew the tag and panic set in. I began e scouting hard and digging up memory of what I had found in the past when “passing through for work”. At this point I am beyond excited that I have a great chance at finally getting “the buck”.
I started picking at some close friends to confirm or debunk ideas I had. I’d say most are debunked but confirmed a few and my confidence grew as time went on.
The season isn’t until October so I have plenty of time to prepare right…? Well time ticks fast when you think you have plenty. This year has been a rollercoaster at work and nothing is normal. My schedule has me traveling and out of town during the weeks I needed to be in unit looking around.
excuses aside I think there is an over confidence in the back of my mind.
After all it’s a Wyoming pronghorn Buck!
