Utah, youre about to have company

There will be some in CA. Soon. That’s what they want, so they will all of a sudden appear. Just like the several wolf packs.
CA. Fish and Wildlife just happened to have trail cams set out and found the packs. Sure, just happened to have cameras out where the wolves were. Millions of acres of forest service, but the cameras were in the right spot at the right time. They’ll never convince me they weren’t introduced. Just saw on the wife’s Facebook a couple days ago a large bear filmed in CA. It had a hump on the back of its neck and was the color of a grizz. But I’m no bear expert so if Black bears sometimes have a hump like grizzlies, then it was probably a Black Bear.

Find the grizz...

Your in the woods, not staring at a pic, you only have a couple of seconds? Are you taking the shot?

Maybe it's obvious to folks, but I hope I have at least made the point of why CPW doesn't take most reports seriously.

Brings to mind the story from 1979.....Pagosa Spings area near NM border....

Lots of black bears seem to have a good size shoulder hump. This black bear appears to have a bigger hump than the griz the way he’s standing. I’ve glassed 16 black bears and 7 grizzlies this spring, and I still have to do a double check on occasion when I’m watching a bear.

When I go black bear hunting in grizz country I better have a field guide or something on me.....

Those things must all be eating pretty good. Bunch of fatso’s.
Are all those black bears?

What’s your guess?
According to the bear hunt society, which I found online, they are all grizzly bears for one or another of their reasons. They said the grizz have a distinct hump which the black bear lacks and grizz have a concave nose whereas a black bear has more or a rounded or Roman nose. All those bears in your pics have one or the other or both. So, beats me?
