If Trump wins the presidency it will be because of Don Peay's endorsement. If you don't believe me, just ask Don Peay in 2017.

Mention Bush or Reagan and the accountability police crickets come unhinged.

...fact.

Obama got re-elected because enough welfare receipients and homeless people who could use an intersection as an address that liked their free handouts came out to vote for him to make sure the handouts kept flowing. That's what I fear happening with Bernie...people liking and wanting stuff for free coming out of the woodwork to vote. This is purely my opinion.

John, you and I could not agree more on this. Your statement is almost verbatim how I have described this phenomenon over the past 3 years. My concern is...now that the majority has tipped this way.....can we ever get it back?

Fox's talking heads are already blaming Trump's 2nd place on the skip. Drip drip drip goes the media.

Bernie has the detestable shrew worried....excellent.

I am disappointed in both the Rs and the Ds, but not surprised. To use pundit language (somebody slap me) it came down to "the machine" vs the people. As usual, the machine won.

I think the Trump and Sanders supporters who talked sh*t but didn't show up are indicative of a general satisfaction with how things are going. They aren't as pissed as they were in the last two go a-rounds, and the their short memories of Jr. are fading. Keep up the bread and circuses and the machine will always win.

Trump took folk's energy for granted and Bernie's people aren't mad enough.

But hey, it's just one state. I have no clue what the future holds but I'm sure the pundits will tell me.

Bernie went from being 20 points down in November to a basic tie. I'd say the establishment candidate should be a little concerned...

As far as Cruz, anybody who cares about public land access should be concerned. He is no friend to public land users.

Honest question...

If Hilary wins the nomination in the end, but ends up getting indicted, does Bernie automatically get it, or will there be a whole new process of voting and caucus?

I was wondering the same thing. I wondered if the delegates are obligated by law to vote a certain way or in circumstances like that they can vote for whoever. Somebody on here will know.

I'm not sure how an indictment would prevent her from keeping a nomination. Maybe the D Party rules prohibit a candidate to have an indictment hanging over their heads but I doubt it. A finding of guilt is another story.

It also depends on which stage of the nomination process you are talking about. If she is nominated as her Party's candidate, that would be be an internal D Party issue and Bernie might be the default.

I'm not sure if delegates or the electoral college reps are bound to stand as expected. I think they can flip if they feel like it, but it's rare.

But if she was nominated as President at the national level I think the Republicans would be back in the mix.

As to my other post, my reason for thinking the machine won on the R side is because of Rubio's great showing. On the D side, yeah, Bernie put up a fight but if Americans were really upset it would have been a landslide for Bernie. Trump and Bernie would have walked away with it, hands down, if people were really tired of politics as usual. Just my opinion.

Not sure about that. There are a lot of people who probably agree more with Sanders but "don't want to waste their vote". This is dumb. How about people vote for the candidate whose positions they mostly agree with? Besides, as much as Republicans hate the word "socialist", I bet they hate the word "Clinton" even more.

Good point. They hate the system but they are afraid of it so they play ball. Dumb. Trump can't be worse than Hilllary and Bernie can't be worse than Rubio.
