The verdict is in...

A buddy described boats as golf

When I was on the hunt for boats, reviewing motors I was surprised (as a noob) to find Suzukis are a highly rated outboard right along with Yamaha and Honda!
I want to say he told me he bought the motor while at a boat show for 17k installed if I remember correctly. Sounds crazy but to replace that boat was a hell of lot more money. He inherited the boat many years ago and uses his boat more than an other fisherman that I know of. Hell I’ve fished more out of his boat than I have my own. We get it out to Lake Erie several times a year for walleye’s

When I see a cover off an outboard at the boat ramp, it's always a Mercury. That's the newer ones. The old, low horsepower two strokes were as good as any.

I had almost bought a stealthcraft raft and a small outboard, but my desire to chase salmon and lake trout outweighed the judicious and prudent portion of my brain.

I'll take the responsibility for that. But, I don't want no smoke from the missus so let's just keep it between us.

So much boat hate! I am stunned in this hunting forum.

I too am in the hunt for an outboard. And a boat and trailer to go with it. I have two boats but would probably sell one if I bought another. Some great used boats put there.

Well, I am in the same boat…

Currently looking at a new 45 Tohatsu tiller w/power tilt and trim. I can’t complain too much about the 2008 Yamaha that I am currently using and have worn slap out all by myself. Time to upgrade.

I just fired up my new Honda30.
It would appear the carbs need adjustment to Montana elevation.
Always something.

We are all too busy spending our money on useful things. Like points! 🤣😂

Years ago I bought a nice North River jet to salmon fish the Umpqua, Siuslaw, and Winchester Bay. When all was said and done, each salmon cost me about a grand.

For others, Suzuki has fuel injection that doesn't need a battery.
