GOHUNT - Filter and find hunts like never before

The next surge

All this doom and gloom perspectives has me concerned about the most important question.

Do you think we’re going to have to pay more for resident deer and elk tags? All that other stuff doesn’t sound as bad as having to pay more than $19 for an elk tag.

Each resident tag should cost two weeks of lattes.

I was just about to bring up Montana mule deer management. But, your post is close enough. mtmuley

Sure.
Its a small sacrifice to improve the quality of our hunting and battle obesity.😁
I think they charge $6-7 a piece around here. I just drink Espresso from my own machine. Do I get a discount? ;)

Would you like to see fewer non residents on your landscape?
Depends on the area, but from what I hear we have a resident poaching issue. I don't think they buy any type of hunting license.

I wouldn’t mind more Californians moving to NM, especially my town.
I say that not for the (il)legal reforms, intrusive policies, judgmental bizarre campaigns Californians bring. No, we do those our own way in NM. What I desire is Californian money to grossly over inflate real estate values and blockbust the skeezy out of here. We have generational mediocrity and if they can no longer afford to be that way in Albuquerque then they’ll have to move.

Same crap happening in Alberta. All these easterners moving west and bringing their liberal policies with them, trying to change how it is out here. Not to mention the twat of an outgoing PM ruining immigration and letting everybody and anybody into the country. The city where I live, Calgary, grew by 100,000 people in one year. Real sustainable.
Grew up and spent 24 years in Calgary. My second home. I love it every time I go back! But, I still can’t believe that it’s not the Canada that I grew up in.

We just drove back home from a long weekend in the City Different, NM...offseason uncrowded, was awesome.

Wouldn't it be just like bozeman with those folks living in campers in the streets? Price doesn't seem to make them move to a more affordable place.

I’ll welcome all Californians including the southern CA gypsies. So Californians can crowd the roads too.

I don't think theres a ton of people in LA that are jumping to move to a rural mountain state or even to a town like Bozeman but maybe its just crowd I've interacted with while I've been here. I'm currently visiting a friend who lives in Santa Monica. It's such a giant place that at this point, aside from a few signs around town thanking the fire fighters you wouldn't know there had been a giant fire.

Over the weekend we went out to bars in Venice and Hollywood. I met a bunch of people from everywhere, living in LA, who all seem to love LA. When I tell them I live in Montana the overwhelming response is "Why!????". Most people actually think it is like Yellowstone and believe it or not thats not that attractive to most people that live here lol.

I think the main factor is that the rest of the country has 330 million people and Montana only has a million. Any time Montana gets on the rest of the countries radar an impact is going to be felt.
