Tennessee - Can Bush lose it?

I am curious about some of the states in gray. Michigan is very liberal as is Oregon. Is Arizona GOP country? The election should be interesting

Yeah its interesting because it interviews a couple ignorant morons - "I just dont like the way he looks"...."one of his four languages is french".

Not surprising because ive been to Tennesee and it is about the most illiterate hillbilly state in the union. I was at the chattanooga county courthouse and there was a sign on the door that read "Please "Reed Sign: Motor Vehicles Upstairs".

I think Oregon is becoming more conservative... I have read some articles how they have quit funding their school systems, just like most of the Red states....

C'mon Rocky, you know that is just not Tenn where they are like that.... Do you think Anaconda, MT would be different???

Hey Rocky,

Check out this review from Amazon.com on the Bible.... It looks like the people in Texas "reed" like the people in Tenn....

this is a good book that evrybody shoul'd reed a lot!, July 2, 2004
Reviewer: john3v9 from crawford, texas
I like how it tells about the animals and adam" i licked it and it should be reed by all kids. That is why their is so manny problims. It is becase noone go's to church anhy moore. The part about the arc was cool to. It is neet to reed about how all thhe lions and monkeys and other animals were on a arc for 40 days because God was mad. Their is a lot of really good storys in it that kids will like, exspessially boys. The pasrt abvuot david a golilith and the slingshot was AWESOME it reminded me of when i was a kid and had the exact same kind of slingshot, but i didn't about david yet at that time. It just goes yo show that what you can ackomplch if you belive in God and Jesus! Kids who ai'nt no good at sports should reed that part. The part about when jesus came and then when they killed him made me sad and then it made me mad too see that they acted like that to him and wood'nt lisen to what he toled them even after he cured that boy. But I guess it was good because of easter in the end. I liked how they have the words in red in that one part towords the middle it was nest to see that because I never saw a book that had that in it before so it was cool to see. If you listen to this book then you can get what happened to that guy oon the cross that jesus saved because he belived in what he was saying to him and then you willbe happy when you die up in hevin were their are streets made out of gold liek it talks about.

Here's the entire quote -

"I don't like what Bush has done in Iraq. I don't think one American boy is worth that whole country. But I don't like Kerry. Did you ever meet someone and just not like the way he looks? That's the way I feel about Kerry. I just don't like the way he looks."

Sounds like he is just voicing his opinion, and talking about first impressions - and I guess the geniuses here don't recognize the value of first impressions, and are sooooo much smarter than anyone in Tennessee. Then again, that is just what their hero, Michael Moore does - take comments out of context, cut out the rest of the statement that doesn't agree with the slant he is trying to spin and then call the people morons...

Here's another quote from another moron from Tennessee from the same article -

I do find an undecided voter in Williamson County—the only one of three dozen Tennesseans I accost who hasn't made up his mind. He is Tom Taylor. I meet him on Main Street in Franklin, right outside his law office. Taylor is a moderate Republican, he says. He voted for Bush, in part out of disgust for Clinton. "But now I am really disappointed." Bush has dragged the party too far right, has governed poorly. Taylor is pessimistic about the country. Still, he says, "if there is any light at the end of the tunnel, if—let's say—there is any sign someone is listening to Colin Powell, then I will vote Republican. You see, there just isn't anything to like about John Kerry."

I'm thinking Elkgunner picked his name that way too. He just throws a few out there to see what happens. You're supposed to aim, make it a good shot though. Kind of dangerous, just to go around gunning. Fishing works better that way. You just throw it out and see if you get any bites and you can keep doing that all day long if you want. Why did you pick that name?

Tom doesn't hide behind walls, and is willing to let others know who and what he is. Unlike some that just can't seem to get away from anonymity. It is so much easier to hide behind facades and pretence than to face reality and stand behind ones own person. ;)

Here is an e-mail I received that seems to really sum it up best...
"You see Russ I think that they use their anonymity like a shield to enable themselves to remain aloof, shallow, and at an arm's length. For whatever reason they do not appear to be willing to take the risks that being human requires. Why then having made the decision to not step out any closer than behind their electronic barriers would they not act like ass holes and feel confident with that?" ;)

Gunner,

You got it, its the State of Montana insane asylum...just happens to be a mere 15 miles or so from Anaconda.

ElkCheese,

Do you even know what that quote means, that you cut and pasted? It must be taken out of context, because as it is written, it makes you look like a puppet. Should we just call you Marion(ette)?

You will call me what ever names you like, you do any way, so where are you going with that, three quarters of every thing you post is cut and pasted, but of course, you couldn't use the same label on yourself because that isn't what gunner is about... ;)
