Fishing with my 10-year-old son last night. He’s old enough now and has the aptitude, that I don’t really need to do anything anymore. So last night I just walked with him and watched and felt grateful.

Just got home from our improvised family vacation thanks to hurricane Beryl. The kids really enjoyed the Crescent hotel in eureka springs. Supposedly one of the most haunted hotels in America. Did the ghost tour and let them use the young-ins for bait ( I know unsportsman like to use bait but I was weak ). No ghost were seen nothing spooky happened and I remain a skeptic. But I think I figured out this whole "haunting" thing it's brilliant actually. Charge a premium rate that goofs like me will gladly pay to make the wife and kids happy. But the staff was amazing especially the shuttle service guys and the amenities from the pool, breakfast, sky top bar, and the outdoor live music area were all top notch. We plan on going back to explore more of the town.
