Broadhead tune with fixed blades (QAD) = same same POI with field, fixed, and mechanical (Rage).
Carry both in the quiver and if at longer distances or windy I'll use the mechanical otherwise always reaching for fixed blade first.
This is my set up as well.
QAD is generally my primary.
However every now and then a rage or NAP spitfire will come out to play on a whitetail hunt.

NAP gobbler getters and NAP spitfires for turkey.

Hmm, I've had trouble sharpening mine, don't come up to shape new.
Those that use the QAD, are they sharp from new and if so I presume the the inserts are same? Getting close to hunt time here.
I use a dedicated stone and never sharpen anything else than broadheads on it. 6 swirls per side and they are GTG. I do agree that they aren't super sharp from the factory.....

All my elk and deer have been shot with a magnus stinger or black hornet, but currently using QAD exodus

I’ve shot javelina with a bunch of different heads; stingers, slick trick magnums, rage, spitfires, montecs, grim reapers. Only one I didn’t love the performance of was the grim reaper but most of that was probably shot placement

The QAD Exodus keeps showing up on this thread. I also see on that arrow tester guy Lusk has them ranked as the top fixed blade per his testing methodology. I’ve found some of these short and stubbies broadheads to be especially tunable. Might have to add them to my own test pile this spring.

Fwiw the full blade flies just a smidge better than the swept blade model. YMMV.

killed lots of elk with one shot with fixed blades and the only time I used expandable they failed on an antelope, which was gruesome. I killed him but it wasn’t pretty.

Wac em 3 blade for elk I won’t switch until I can’t get them.

@Frequently Banned Troll posted about ramcat diamondbacks a while ago. They were on sale for 15 bucks for a 3 pack. Seem to fly better than the montecs i had used.

Its hard to imagine many broadheads these days not working if you do your job.

Was just getting bored of the politicking and wanted to get some gear chatter rolling. Even if the subject matter is somewhat superfluous. Heck, people killed em dead with fixed blade knapped flint broadheads for a looooong time.
