Sunday Pic of the Day

Sunday deer hunt , no deer spotted , no elk spotted, but I did have a good rifle hike. The main reason I went into the area today was there’s a big knob that you can walk to on old logging roads to that overlooks a small little Valley and elk are in there all the time, during archery season when I was with the guys I got the idea if you come up the backside through the woods on elk trails in the dark to start your hunt from the highest point in the valley, then hunt the logging roads out . So I did a trial run and used ONX to mark the back of the knob where there’s an old mud logging road at the top, that I will work to in the dark to stage for daylight, Roosevelt rifle season starts on November 13. That was more important to me than shooting a deer today.

On the way out walking the logging road, I found a wallow that the elk were using during the rut right on the side of the road

My wife found a newer Rainbow play set on marketplace for a song. Owner was closing in a week and had to unload it. I made an impromptu Sunday trip to St. Louis and back.

Chopped this guy up and threw it into my spaghetti sauce.
I spotted some while hiking back to my truck along a decommissioned logging road on a ridge above the Quinault River. I was too tired and encumbered to harvest it at the time. That was three years ago, and I haven't made it back there since. I think about it around this time of year though:ROFLMAO:.

We have a Turkey that has become a resident to our property. It’s definitely one of those one of a kind animals. My wife snapped this picture on Sunday. Been busy but wanted to share.
