Stump the Chump!

Hank,
What's the Patterson connection? My uncle was a CDF firefighter and finished his career in Gustine.

The SJ Valley and Central Coast had such a small town vibe back then.

Ok -

Who can name this harp player whom I met in SF in the 1980's? He was working in the Guitar Center. We were in awe.

Guy I worked with as a fish monger was from Patterson and we'd go up come bean harvest time for work. All night driving bean pickers, green beans for Del Monte. Dwayne Hooper. LOL,how did I remember his name. Dude was a Jethro Tull nut. Looked just like him,no talent except jokes. And getting Tull tickets.

I had a gig weeding cabbages with a short hoe in Gustine one summer. Tough work, low pay. I learned a lot of Spanish they don't teach you in school.

$100 a night, all night.
I tried picking cherries up thru Oregon, made it as far as Ashland and that redhead in a peasant dress....

Another great Shorty Medlock intro

Howdy soaks....I mean folks. I'm fixing to do a little banjo picking down here in this rattlesnake den. Boy there are some big wompers down here....

Thanks, @hank4elk for the fun thread. Didn't post much. Didn't want to hog the board! Lots I knew and lots that stumped me. It's kept me fairly busy this weekend following along. Sitting here in the house all weekend by myself gets boring! Guess Christmas is about over, back to work in the morning.
