Good article on a study by the two major Universities highlighting the recent problems we have seen in the commission. I guess Smith and Baker want to argue the definition of 'dysfunctional' now. When you get what you want, it is working fine.

Yeah, imagine that, the dysfunctional ones don't see themselves as dysfunctional. It's everyone else clearly.

Two of your most reputable institutions work with another reputable institution to collect data and analyze it. They share unbiased findings. That’s science. Now what is your be done with it? The commission and governor clearly won’t like the findings.

Possibly the worst thing could be a move to a governor appointed single commissioner.

We need to remove politics from the formula, and simply rework how the commission is formed and functions. Don’t throw the baby out.

I think I'll send the Governor a thank you.

I hear he's going to appoint two tribal members, which compared to the alternatives is a resounded success.

Wasn't it the WA senate that rescinded them? Hopefully he does appoint some tribal members, hadn't heard that.

Sounds like a win. Met Linville a couple times, exemplary livestock operator.

I think this is a huge win for science-based wildlife management, hunting and fishing. Standing by for some knowledgeable WA folks to weigh in more specifics on these appointments. Congrats to the grassroots WA hunting and fishing groups who advocated for better appointees.

It is a win but definitely more work to do. The commission is trying to make silly predator management changes again right now.
