Silencerco Scythe Ti vs Banish Backcountry Suppressor

I just shot my Backcountry. Noticeably more recoil and noise than my banish gold, obviously. Recoil actually surprised me...

There's a good YouTube comparison of the Scythe and based on that I'd go Scythe all day long.

I bet there is a difference due to the larger volume and brake on the scythe. Whether it’s significant enough to matter may be another story.
Got Scythe TI today and shot for first time. Setup on Howa Superlite… . 308. Very impressed with recoil reduction…..actually better than I expected. MTF after I get it on range with multiple rounds down range. Extremely pleased so far.

Jumping in late. Just picked up a scythe ti. I was shocked at the recoil reduction in my 300 win mag. I was spotting my shots for the first time in that rifle. I’m a big fan! I have no experience with the back country. 4 days turn around. I picked it up at scheels.

Same opinion. My scythe has been impressive. My rifles are as tame as they were with breaks

I have yet to see the Scythe ti come back in stock, but I did see this MeatEater branded one come up with the Banish line. Anybody seen or heard anything about it? Is it worth the extra money just to have a Rinella monogram on it? I just got back from the hearing doc and yeah I'm hitting the credit card with this purchase soon

I would say no. I have no experience with the meeteeter one, but after having my Banish 30 for a little while now and having shot with it quite a bit, I couldn't imagine what would make any difference. Sure it is a little lighter and a little bit shorter, but I'm not sure it's worth the additonal $300. Maybe if you could get one without the logo it'd be worth it. 😂
Just my 2 cents. I am very happy with my Banish 30.

Thanks man, yeah thats kind of how I feel. But it seems like the difference between the regular banish is the addition of the brake function? Which is kinda like the ti I guess. If I'm understanding the product right, you trade some dB for some brake function in the end. Is that worth 300 bucks, boy I don't know. Probably not. The logo is already turning me off too haha

My wife hunted for the first time ever this fall with my Tikka .308 with the 9" Banish 30 on the end (barrel cut down to 18.5") and had no problem carrying, aiming and shooting it. Recoil was absolutely not an issue, nor were the dB. She is about 5'2" and 110 lbs for reference.

I really doubt that brake is effective at reducing recoil with those little holes in it. Seems like extra $, weight, and length that isn’t worth the tradeoff. I’d get the reg backcountry before that and the scythe before the backcountry.

The dead air nomad ti xc is another that seems like a great balance of weight and suppression.

I love my scythe. I have it on a CCM 7-08 with an 18" barrel and both the recoil and report are significantly improved. I'm not sure I'll be able to get my kids to shoot without a suppressor ever again.

The meat eater YouTube has Janis doing a why chose this one. I don’t know if it’s worth the extra money.

I have many banish products and am very happy with them all. My biggest gun does best with the banish 30 gold. My kids use the banish 30 in the 7” configuration and it’s great. We just got a backcountry. It just got out of ATF prison and will be home soon. So we will see. It’s intended for my daughter to use on her rifle or my 280 AI. We will see.
