The day before we had chased the rams out of the country. We were sleeping in. A rock rolled right next to the tent. We both shot up "What the hell was that". My brother looks out the door of the tent and says "bear".

Now I have noticed, no one ever says "Bear...........running away". "Bear..........clear over on the hill". They always just say "Bear". So I try to hand him a pistol and he hisses "No give me a camera". Little stinker must have just been coming up the trail and hit our tent. He is a good bear. Running away fast.

Is that how you're doing it dink? Mom and Dad moved up there? Will they adopt me too?

Little Brother lives there. I almost feel bad for all the beatings I doled out as children:rolleyes:. He ought to hold it against me and change his phone number.

Oak and Greenhorn as brothers.....................I gotta warn ya, my mom is a raging libral.

This ram was killed in the Pecos Wilderness in New Mexico back in 1988. I was a tag along hunting with Doc Tom as he had drawn out there. Anyway we ran into this young guy up the mountain who also had a permit. The season was two or three days in and he hadnt even seen a ram yet. Earlier that morning we had watched this ram up at the head of a basin...Tom wanted a little bigger one than him so he passed on it. If I remember right this young mans name was Luhon...anyway we offered to show him where the ram was and I ended up helping him on the stalk. He killed the ram with one shot with his .300 Weatherby.
