Tip wear is approximately equal to annual growth after a certain point, which is usually around age 6.Do they get smaller horns as they age? (I admittedly don't know much about goats. Have probably only seen 50 of all ages in my life).

Yeah I've learned that you bring your bow 6 miles in and 3k vert up. Only to not use it, pull the rifle out and "bust one in the hump opening day."No no no haven’t you learned anything from the YouTube videos? Pack your bow in, see your first goat (hopefully a nanny), then don’t even bring your bow on your first stalk!
I do think they can regress a bit. Like i say it's a tough picture to tell. An old hairy narnia looking figure is the ultimate goal. More so than a 9.5in billy vs a 8.75in billy.Do they get smaller horns as they age? (I admittedly don't know much about goats. Have probably only seen 50 of all ages in my life).
Probably a bigger concern is them regressing 3-4 inches per side in the last seconds of their life if you shoot them too close to a cliff.I do think they can regress a bit. Been thinking about this one a ton..... Does a guy "practice" a spine shot?Probably a bigger concern is them regressing 3-4 inches per side in the last seconds of their life if you shoot them too close to a cliff.
Agree. The horns look short in the photo, not even reaching the base of the ears, but the rest of him looks like what you would want. The second photo @Hunting247 posted would be my guess on an old goat with the broken horn and all. Kind of looks like he stuck its head in a meat grinder, but in the summer coat so I will cut it some slack.I do think they can regress a bit. Like i say it's a tough picture to tell. I've been weighing this one as well. I've decided to wait until well away from cliffs. 1st shot heart, follow up shot high shoulder.Been thinking about this one a ton..... Does a guy "practice" a spine shot?

That’s an awesome pic from your son.Pretty safe to say everyone in the Jonas camp is excited for the Billy action to start heating up..... my son drew this for me. Along with some help from his sister. Late father's day present he says...... probably top 3 art work piece. This one will be getting framed.
