The chairman prefers to send as much of this funding to the general fund, rather than pay for what the voters had asked for, or what the legislature passed in 2021.I thought Llew Jones was a solutions guy. This should be right up his alley.

Done! Endless pressure, endlessly applied.Getting word the Govs office & Representative Mercer are leaning harder against this.
Call the Govs office 406-444-3111 and let them know you support SB 442!
Sounds like the governor will veto this. What does it take to override his veto?Getting word the Govs office & Representative Mercer are leaning harder against this.

Is there a whip count you're aware of, Ben?
So now we hound House Appropriations?84-16 on second reading. Hearing that some of those votes were to ensure it goes to appropriations.
So now we hound House Appropriations?
Yes, third reading on Monday, then likely to a conference committee. The conference committee is likely when opposition tries to kill or gut the bill.So what now? Third reading?
Hey @Ben Lamb .....don't want to get too far down the road, but thinking GG vetoing SB442 is a real possibility. Where do we sit with HB669? A veto on 442 could come quick, paving the way for passage of HB669 which defunds Habitat MT. All of that seems politically risky for a first term governor.
