Have you been guilty of looking at others your own age and thinking... surely I can't look that old? You may identify with this short story...
While waiting for my first appointment with a new dentist. I noticed his certificate on the wall which bore his full name. Suddenly, I remembered that a tall, atheletic boy with the same name had been in my high school class some thirty+ years ago. Upon seeing him however, I quickly discarded that idea because this balding gray haired man with the deeply lined face and pot gut was way too old to have been my classmate. After he cleaned my teeth, I asked him if he had attended the local high school thinking he might be the older brother of the boy I remembered...
"Yes," he replied.
"When did you graduate?" I asked.
He answered, "In 1975. Why?"
"You were in my class!" I exclaimed (thinking to myself this guy looks so old)...
He looked at me closely and then the son of a gun asked, "What did you teach?"
