Order a set of S&W wood target grips for the N frame. Sounds like what your looking for.Does anyone have a good revolver grip recommendations? I’ve got some factory rubber grips on my 6.5” 629 and I can’t help but want some checkered wood grips. I’ve been struggling to decipher the difference between instagram garbage and the good stuff.
Herrett’s Stocks in Idaho has been making grips for decades. I’ve got some for a set of Contender grips that Steve Herrett made and they are fantastic. I agree with ol Potsie about liking the look of wood but prefer the rubber grips when it’s shootin time. Particularly on the stouter guns. I love them. They’re comfortable to shoot and look good doing it. My dad was a Steve Herrett Contender disciple and that’s how I ended up with them.I do want a set of those. Always liked the way they look.
