Reloading room setup - looking for ideas

6947F1BB-1957-455E-B10F-174EF9AF2F6A.jpegNot sure what your skill level is but I got pretty technical for my setup. The only down side is the whole operation comes to a halt and your powder spills everywhere if you get stingy on the case lube.

Scrap lumber and a Hilti nailer will make a great bench, anchored to the floor and wall. I built this beauty in about 1 hour. My advice would be to use more scrap lumber and make it bigger. Come on over to my house next time you’re in Bozeman, and you can feast your eyes on this gem...

I built mine using the wall for the back legs. I used sheets of plywood ripped in half, two layers of 1/2” on top for rigidity. This measures 8’Lx2’W, the other side of the room has all my smithing stuff, and is 13’ long. I have more than enough room and I could put a couple more presses in there if I wanted to, or add some other stuff in there. The depth allows me to keep stuff out of the way pushed against the wall when I’m not using it. It still needs a few finishing touches but overall it’s getting where I want it to.

And yes, I know the carpet is hideous.

No just a cheap Remington I put a new stock on it and then a new barrel and then a headache.

Well, what’re the details? Sounds interesting. Barrel make, stock make, trigger, chamber? Any other stuff you’ve done to it like bed the action?

26 nosler 24 inch barrel Lilja 7 twist trigger tech trigger bedded by the gun smith have shot some incredible groups with it and then it will spray I wouldn’t sell it will a clear conscience. It’s kicked my ass probably at 150 rounds through it now I’ve shot one hole groups and 3 inch groups with it. You just never know what it’s going to do.

I hope this helps to spark others imaginations. If you are going to take the time to build a reloading table carefully choose a design that will be warm and inviting everytime you stand infront of it. This makes reloading that much more of a postive experience. Metal reloading press stands are all over the place now and they work well but why not create your own from wood with your style build into it. Plastic shell trays work great too but a dark walnut shell tray just feels and looks much better. Make it yours.

I'm away from my house without a pic, but I'm a big fan of these....

this is what I have with a harbor freight tool box side cabinet mounted on end that holds my bullets and tools. I added a base across bottom legs for storage.
On sale I bought table for under a hundi.
Tall and shallow is how I like them.

I organized it a bit after all the criticism.

Ben, yours doesn’t fit the description I had in mind when you were throwing around those dimensions...
