Pelosi - Next Pres Could Declare Gun Emergency

I respect the opinions of many of the posters here, however I will call out the knee jerks reactions above as just what Pelosi intended. The context I see here is that SOH named the 2A pucker factor to illustrate her point that a POTUS improperly invoking emergency powers to bypass congress is beyond a slippery slope, and GOP has a lot to lose on the way down. What else could she have said that would have made her point more strongly to the Trump base? I enjoy watching her outmaneuver Trump and McConnell (slick moon walk by him to support the Trump Emergency 4 days after he urged the prez not to go there). I can see why her opposition demonizes her, hell, it worked on Hillary, right? IMO she is smarter and tougher than her male opponents, so far.

Until I moved to Montana I never even knew there was such a thing as a sportsman friendly democrat. Coming on this site and being fairly open minded and able to listen to reasonable arguments which many on here make the case for as it pertains to public lands specifically. I do believe that there are some blue collar middle America democrats I could see myself supporting. But at the end of the day, As it pertains to our countries policies as a whole, all politicians do as their party does in Washington. The current Democratic Party in Washington has got to be some of the most vile, disgusting,anti American, baby killing, America hating folks to ever take the oath of office. In fact the new youth of the Democratic Party are downright incompetent, they make Pelosi look like a genius. These folks have shown their hand and it’s undeniable that their end game is to turn America into a 3rd world socialist hellhole. All the work being done to protect public lands will mean nothing if these folks get their way.

I have had mixed feelings on Trump from the beginning. But every legal American citizen should be able to agree that we cannot allow an infinite amount of people to illegally cross our borders, not obey our laws, and not live by the same rules that you and I do as citizens. Now here’s a man with balls big enough to do what politicians on both sides of the aisle have been promising for years and the dems are doing nothing but obstructing him. I am not even saying the walls the right thing, I am just saying it’s something when everyone else has done nothing.

Pelosi loses all credibility as a lawmaker when she became proud to represent a sanctuary city. A lawmaker proud of ignoring laws is a lawmaker that should be removed from their position no matter what party they are in.

Exactly. I'm far from a Pelosi fan but it's frustrating how every administration pushes boundaries with no regard for how the next administration (probably controlled by the other party) will use those same new powers.

Wow. Deep down, she must want to rally the fear amongst voters and lock in Trump for 2020.

Between this and the recently announced Green New Deal tour I'm not sure that any democrat has a chance. And I'm not even a fan of Trump.

Exactly, neither side of the aisle should support executive over reach no matter who is in the oval office. I didn't support Obama's use of executive orders nor can I support this trumped up crisis.

When you blindly follow a party the country loses, there are great and there are terrible democrats and republicans. It would be in everyone's best interest if we focused on policy that effectively addresses the nations problems and skip the fear mongering rhetoric.
