Can't believe all the survival section was completed removed. That was so much fun. I remember starting a poll on who should be "moderator" of the forum. I won, so Oscar booted the cheese and made me king. I proceeded to edit nearly everybody's post who posted, especially the Cheese's posts. So funny

I remember when the Cheese was starting threads to "edjumacate" us all on Survivial Skillz. And, MTMiller did a quick google search on one of his threads and the text was lifted from a 1950's manual for the CampFire Girls Camping manual.


And another thread where the Cheese was teaching us "stalking" skills for hunting, and suggested we practice them by going to the local Mall and "stalking" people without them noticing us.

Unfortunately, my memory fails me if I voted for Greenhorn or for the Cheese to be the moderator.....

That was a good one... Most of the "mayhem forums" are gone forever now... can't understand why...lol

Just found the thread where we discussed the Imaginary Corporal driving his Ford Escort from Ohio to Idaho, threatening to stop by your house to administer a proper ass-kicking.

And somehow, his trip was delayed as he had to go to Wal-Mart for new tires for the Ford Escort.

I forgot what you did to earn the threat of the ass-kicking, but if I remember right, he was coming for me after he dealt with you. That made me feel pretty safe, as I am sure you could kick the ass of an Imaginary Corporal.

Quite* that's qwite. Did you forget how to spell, old man? I bet I could outrun you anyway! Sounds like I missed some good threads before I joined. Although I must say that if my wife had known about the shenanigans of some of those early hunttalker get togethers she might not have been as supportive of my involvement in the bear hunts. Probably for the best that I didn't find this site any earlier!

IIRC Cheese took a short leave to his safe space after the election results. It was glorious times.

Are the pics still floating around of Elkhunter quartering his WY bison with a chainsaw using olive oil for bar oil?

Deerslayer was a bit of a hoot as well. Especially when him and Bcat got sideways with each other over some elk hunting spots.
