Nra

I think the guys complaining about the NRA are just too cheap to put their money where their mouth is. I have no problem throwing the appeals letters in the trash - I don't even open them most of the time. I had them put me on thier do not call list. I am not bothered much by them anymore. I may disagree with some aspects of the NRA...and I support the CA Rifle and Pistol Assoc much more financially than I do the NRA since they spend their money here, where I live...but I still send the NRA some money once in a while, as they are the ones footing the bill for things like the Washington DC case.

Is anyone following the Chicago case, now going to the Supreme Court? This would apply the 2nd Amendment to the States, like all the other rights in the Bill of Rights. Who do you think is footing a large part of the legal fees for that? (Hint - the subject of this topic) If the Supreme Court rules as it should, that the 2nd Amendment has the same standing as the others, then many of the nonsensical state laws infringing on the 2nd Amendment become questionable....

Too cheap? Well, you probably got me there. A toothpick in my arse might knock both hips out of joint.
But if you give money or subscribe to everything that comes along, there's not enough left for ME... Plus... once they get your name, address, phone #, email... they will wort you to death.
I do what I can, but I don't give money to political types. They steal enough, as it is...

I don't give money to everything that comes along. I support some conservation groups, youth groups, wildlife groups, my church, the CRPA, the NRA, etc. My wife is more conservative politically than I am, and she supports her pet causes. I have a certain amount I can afford to donate, but family/food/security comes first. I wasn't raised as spoiled brat, and was not taught to put myself first all the time. I was taught to ask before taking the last serving, help the disadvantaged, love my country, etc.

Like I said, I don't bother to open most of the NRA's letters, I am on their "Do not call list," and they don't bother me much even though I am a Life Member. When I read about something they are currently involved in - like the Chicago case going before the Supreme Court - I send some money sometimes to support the efforts.

The great aspect about NRA, HCI, PETA, JPFO, RMEF - etc... We are free to support them or not.
Cheers :) Nothing against any person for their American freedom of choice... :)

Now if only some unions understood such an American ideal... Nothing like living in a country where all men are created equal if you have a union card... in the eyes of employment. ;) Then again, unions are the exception...

If one appreciates what NRA does - Great! If doesn't agree with such - Great! Either way cheers :)
