Wow. That’s pathetic. It looks like it’d be cheaper for me to go poach elk in NM, rather than pay for the draw and tags to do it legally.

If I paid $875ish dollars for every elk I killed in NM Id be money ahead!
Id have money left over for a private plane in and out!!!
I guarantee theyd throw my ass UNDER the county jail.
Probably get some activist hatefull feminazi DA from Montana to come down and make an example out this scofflaw hunter that notched his tag wrong.

Looks like NM supreme court upheld a $74,000 fine against a trophy mule deer buck poacher.
I'll try and find the story.
Now that's a fine!
