New USFWS Director

1) US Government at all-time highs? by what measure.
2) Government shutdowns were under Trump I
3) Federal employees didn't lose their jobs for vaccines. And if a few dozen did, courts gave them back to them. Regarding private companies, they get to make their own rules on that matter. I don't like the fact that they got let go, but every story is different and I can see cases where it might be necessary - caregiver for elderly for example.
4) The military requires a lot of vaccines before you can join. Are you saying your buddy got discharged for refusing the COVID? Hard to believe. Regardless, the courts ordered that rescinded and he could rejoin.
5) Most colleges (hate to say 'All' without being 100% sure) follow the same rules on the biological sex competitors as those of international competition (Olympic committee). Take it up with the right organization. Maybe your friend was just slow?
My cousin received an "Honorable Discharge" while in the Marine Corp. for refusing the vax...so yeah it's a real thing. I also know a game warden in Washington that was fired for refusing the Fauci Outchy.

They would do their f@#cking job, if they didn't f@#ing fire the trail crews and had a budget to do the work.

Don't expect you to savvy that.

Get used to crawling over downfall, not my problem.
They're well enough staffed. It's good to cut all the fat out of these agencies. Every spring when they burn slash piles there's 15 vehicles and one guy/gal in each truck. Just wasting resources. They just don't want to do it.

No, actually there isn't.

But thanks for crying.

Did you mean "Trying"? I'm having a hay day with all these liberals on here b**ching and moaning about the new administration. It's about time someone did something about this waste.
No, I meant crying.

You know what you're doing about the trails you use not being cleared.

Get used to it.

Not Crying at all. I'm happy as can be...especially with our new administration. If they would have maintained them 15 years ago it wouldn't be so bad. Even in a Democratic run presidency, when they're flush with funding, they do nothing.

Well great, you're used to climbing over deadfall so shouldn't bother you any.

I'm good with it too, keeps the lazy out of the elk woods. The elk could use a break on national forest in Montana.

Trail crews haven’t been well staffed or “flush with funding” in many, many years.

They work their tails off for low wages. Simply too many miles of trails to clear for them to keep up. Plus rebuilding trails, bridges, etc.

The FS never cuts roads anyways. Least in my district. They used to trim/clear trails and I haven't seen it done in 10+ years.

Seriously have you folks ever done any trail work? It’s not doing hedge work for grandma.

Your verbiage of “trimming” trails shows your lack of experience. I’ve worked in RD’s with over 1000 miles of trails to maintain and 2-6 trail crew. “Trimming” trails is the least of our worries.

Maybe instead of being an armchair quarterback, reach out to your representatives and ask them to actually fund trail maintenance because it’s not happening now and hasn’t been since the 80’s.

I'd like to video lota lota bullchit working a crosscut in the Frank for a half a day.

That would be entertaining.

I’ve been there done that. Lota lota’s lipstick would melt off his face.

What about SW Montana bikers association that worked with the BLM to build miles of recreation trails? The private sector can figures things out and more efficiently a lot of the times.
