Gastro Gnome - Eat Better Wherever

New USFWS Director

And I think the best thing the government can do is cut waste and de regulate to free up cashflow to allow private business to come in and rebuild California. Free up aid going towards corruption and funnel it back into the pockets of hard working business owners and workers. Excavation, construction, drywall, electricians, etc., etc.. Help legal migrants find good paying jobs and rebuild American businesses and cities. I’m not sure how folks aren’t upset about what’s being uncovered with DOGE.

Part of the issue is no one elected him, but now he's in the kitchen (oval office) thinking he's a great chef:

Way too reckless making all these cuts so quickly, but to mix metaphors, why use a scalpel when you have a chainsaw? Requires a lot less thinking.

Because most of it is misrepresentations and half truths. Actually fact check some of it. Usually there is more to the story. I’m all for the effort. It needs to be done in an honest good faith effort. On a side note I never really realized how big of an asshole you are until recently. Noted for the future. Thanks for revealing yourself.
I’ll see my way out of this conversation. I can agree my timing was poor and I didn’t read the room very well. Sorry for the folks that were impacted by the cuts. We can agree to disagree on policy which is what my comments were more geared towards.

And despite your comments towards me I appreciate the advocacy towards MD management.

I think hes more referring to this.
This form of thing is common throughout government at all levels. (Not being in a mine, but doing things so archaic).

One example I deal with all the time… There are mapping technicians in county assessors offices. When we record a plat, it can generate days of work for them to hand enter bearings and distances of every single course, of every single parcel.
They won’t take a .shp file exported from CAD that they could export the entire plat into their ESRI software with a couple clicks
Can literally be done faster than i can type this comment on Hunttalk.
If they did that, how would they justify their positions?

Can he just finally finish dream rocket and ship himself to mars?

Yeah it sure was shameful to see the US government continue to grow to all time highs while Americans are spending more of every paycheck with high inflation. It was shameful when government shutdowns caused business owners to have to close down. Or when my wife had to choose the vaccine or her job. What about my buddy that got discharged from the military. Or a friend that ran women’s track but had to loose to a biological man. You guys keep throwing insults. I’m taking about policy not feelings. I haven’t heard any logical argument just whiny insults my way.
1) US Government at all-time highs? by what measure.
2) Government shutdowns were under Trump I
3) Federal employees didn't lose their jobs for vaccines. And if a few dozen did, courts gave them back to them. Regarding private companies, they get to make their own rules on that matter. I don't like the fact that they got let go, but every story is different and I can see cases where it might be necessary - caregiver for elderly for example.
4) The military requires a lot of vaccines before you can join. Are you saying your buddy got discharged for refusing the COVID? Hard to believe. Regardless, the courts ordered that rescinded and he could rejoin.
5) Most colleges (hate to say 'All' without being 100% sure) follow the same rules on the biological sex competitors as those of international competition (Olympic committee). Take it up with the right organization. Maybe your friend was just slow?

Refreshing to get a logic based response. I’m out on this topic though. Too many high emotion responses for me. Wrong timing to engage in this.

Check number 5 again. NCAA ruling. mtmuley

I understand that there was a recent rule change due to the executive order. My comment was on previous rules as I assumed his friend ran before the change. Regardless, Hopefully we all feel safer now. Less government, except on these critical issues.

Pity the facts don't support your accusations.

You're out because facts that disputed your hateful claims were presented, and now you have no response.
That’s not it at all. What hateful claims did I have? Please quote them for me. I have about 5 directed at me I can go back and post.

Is this the chart you want to discuss?IMG_5737.jpeg

True, he "freed Twitter", but then it suffered from functionality issues because the layoffs included a lot of essential people who "made things go". That will happen with all these Fed layoffs. So if we're out driving National Forest Roads this year, be sure to pack your saw to clear roads, plus toilet paper and extra poo gel for the USFS outdoor toilets.

$10 says in the next week he'll change all our nuke launch codes to 420420.

Finally, I'm not sure I trust him because he looks like an alien trying to wear a baseball cap. Like my grandad always used to say, don't ever trust a guy who doesn't know how to wear a baseball cap.
The FS never cuts roads anyways. Least in my district. They used to trim/clear trails and I haven't seen it done in 10+ years.
