So my son is going to be a senior next year and is pretty busy with school and extra curricular stuff. His plans are to attend the Air Force Acadamey or go ROTC at the University of Wyoming or Kansas State. I would like to take him on a few trips next year since it might be the last hunts for awhile. He has 6 points for elk,deer,antelope in wyomig. Part of me wants to try and draw something there but also he has a good start on points and in a few years could really go on some great hunts in his mid 20's.
He likes turkey hunting and he really wants a Merriam so I am leaning toward a spring turkey hunt. Also a Rio would be nice also. I have also thought about a bear hunt even though I don't know anything about hunting bears. I don't even know what season is the best to go?
We are doing a family Sage grouse hunt to Wyoming next fall. I don't know anything about hunting in New Mexico for like javelina or an oryx hunt. But I am open to any ideas that you guys/gals might have on some trips we could take?
We live in north Missouri so we are in the middle of the country, I have a wierd work schedule that allows me to take 3 days of vacation and have 10 days off so it would be possible to work in 3-4 trips next year
