monsoons

Good deal glad to hear there's plenty of water in tanks
Some tanks.
Depends on location now.
Plenty up in the Malpais. Sawtooths.

Mine are full from the well.
Several days of just starting the downpour and it ends in minutes.
The Gramma grass is growing.

The monsoonal flow just got going ,late.
Now, it seems, the pattern has been sheared off by the hurricane off Baja.
Heading for Socal and not here.
That would have made the year.
Forecast now is drier and warmer thru Nov. in SW.

But you never know out here.
Our newly rocked road is just waiting to get muddy.
Cloudy this sunrise and a chance of showers.
It could go right thru Cabo and be here instead.
Rio, the elk and I would be fine with that.

Got up in a hot flash.
Closed the window to stop the windflow, went to pee.
Rio went out too.
Then I realize it's blowing 40-50.
Then the thunder & lightning.
Rio back in and goes to his bed.
No rain. Yet.

Guess we have Harold blowing into NM.
Should be raining by tomorrow.

It was a baker here yesterday and I was glad I left Rio in the house.
We had cheeseburgers & fries when I got home and then ate half a watermelon.
Rio loves watermelon.
Does watermelon cause hotflashes? LOL

We could really use some rain here in CO.... after a wicked wet start to the summer, it's been really dry of late. Makes me nervous every time I see lightning up here.

Harold looks to dump here starting manana.
On into CO and parts north. AZ too.
Thunderheads building over the Apaches now. South winds.
Come on.

Harold is definitely dumping a ton of rain in South Texas. Nothing at my house yet but my hunting grounds down south are getting absolutely pounded, which is really good news; we might get another blue quail hatch out of it to boot. Hopefully Harold dumps some rain on you too.

Couldn't figure out where all the haze and or smoke was coming from the last 2 days.
Canada.
The ol' around the high rotation.
The moisture is getting caught now in Tejas and streaming in too.

Absolutely terrible hot and dry here to.
"Miserable hot" is what my WI buddy says...

Not a star is showing.
Heavy overcast to go with the HEAVY rain forecast for next 3 days.
Road rocked and packed past my place now.
Radar just showed me in yellow and red around 5pm.
50 degree dewpoint and 60% humidity this morning.

Can you send some of this rain to WI? You gave us the heat but it's the rain we really need! The ducks are going to fly right over us this year as there are no marshes with water for them to rest in

9AM. 83 degrees and 90% humidity. Heat index of 96. High of 97 today and 99 tomorrow. Think I'll stay in the house.
