Plans?

Riding to Taos, NM area this Thursday. Red River's annual Memorial Day rally draws thousands of bikes..my first time to see it. Last week the temps here in N Tx went from hi 70's to low 100's overnight...ready for the cool New Mexico mountains. Guess my NM hunt odds grievance boycott will have to wait.;)

Taking the family to the cabin for the weekend. Hope to catch some fish, eat some fish, shoot some stuff, set some stuff on fire and may ride a train! I think the boys and I are looking forward to it more than Mom... :D

Annual camping trip to central Washigton.

Rolling Thunder ....noharley. , A new guy in the neighborhood who I spoke to last fall rode past the house last last evening and the wife and I were sitting outside. He stopped I asked him if he were going and said : What's that ? He excited now. There about a dozen of us from the neighborhood heading to the local HD Dealer where about 4K gather for the trek down but we will cut off and park along the Mall and watch the parade of stop and go bikes on Constitution Ave.

Daughter number two graduates on Sunday the 26th, so my wife and I will be hosting family and friends for a graduation party.

Taking new wife and step daughter to PA to see my parent's new house 'in the woods'.
Will get to see my brothers and their families also. We only see them usually twice a year. I'm sure there will be lots of shooting (bows, shotguns, handguns), a little fishing, a camp fire every night and lots of eating.
Could be dangerous to my 'get in elk shape' plan but it has to be done!!

I work all weekend.....night shift!! On Monday, I get done with work at 7 am, so I'll head home, get a few hours of sleep, then get up and we'll attend the annual Memorial Day parade in Rapid River,MI. After that, we will probably do a picnic with friends at the Little Bay De Noc picnic area on the Stonington Peninsula.....weather permitting! Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend whatever they are doing!

Have a safe trip NHY!

High school swimming is finally over, and I am going to get loose (drinking heavily like cush is going to happen :)!
It's still winter in the high country. Snowing on the passes - that keeps the 'idont knows' and the 'average joes' away. That's where I plan to be. >>>Drew 4th season buck tag, and so might get some spring hiking in and see how the new binos work!

Happy Memorial Day weekend Hunt Talkers!

I ordered 32 ribeyes this morning. My family and I will spend the day on the lake with the guys that work for me and their families. We will have a nice meal together, let the kids do some tubing and skiing and will sometime during the day raise a cool one in honor of those who gave so much.

Leaving for a wild hog hunt in central CA tomorrow morning until Friday......then to the Tejon Ranch for our annual State Broadhead 3D championship on Sat/Sun. 42 unmarked targets each day....with broadheads. Great hunting tune-up for bowbenders.

I'll tip at least one to JC and those he served with. Other than that nursing the ribs I broke last week, so won't be doing much.

This sounds super domestic...I'm going to make apricot jam. Some regular, some Habenero, & some Rosemary.

Then I'm going to check out a lead on an RV. It's ancient but runs great. Maybe borrow it for the rest of the weekend of fishing.

Headed to North Central Kansas for fishing, turkey hunting, and s'mores around the campfire with my wife and two boys.
