I think it sounds very interesting.
But it may be too soon to make a good decision about it.

What could possibly go wrong with another 20ksi. And it's not reloadable.

Let's think about this logically:

1. As said, there are several cartridges currently in production that can meet the supposed specifications this does. (I say supposed, because the true velocities of all these cartridges are oversold, same as mpg is for vehicles)
2. Steel cases are currently not reloadable.
3. Steel cases were first used in WWI as response to brass shortage. One would think, if they were the future, that technology would not have sat for 110 yrs.
4. The steel case can withstand 80,000 PSI (SAMMI spec is 65,000 psi). That DOES NOT MEAN that firearm actions, barrels, suppressors (especially suppressors) are designed to withstand repeated 80,000 PSI pressures. Seekins has already come out saying that they will have to redesign an action to accommodate this cartridge.
5. This cartridge is being advertised as a 1000 yard elk rifle. Let that sink in...a major ammo manufacturer is saying that any person can/should hunt elk at 1000 yards. That is over 1/2 a mile. I have no words.

By the sound of it, you can take anything in N. America with a .223 or if you really want to step it up, a .22-250.

Kidding aside, the casual reader of this and other modern western based hunting forums would likely be completely confused when trying to select a cartridge, based on the seemingly contradictory reports on what is required to kill large western game. One article/post will tell you to "use enough gun" and "elk are hard to kill" and "he soaked up three rounds and walked off" and the very next article or post will tell you that a .220 Swift and .223 are perfectly acceptable and dead is dead. Then there is this cartridge with the associated marketing. I'm not sure how someone new to this is supposed to decide.

As for the round, I say good for them. Every new product tests the market. If there is no need/interest it will go the way of so many before it. If there is, it will survive and have its fans. Simple as that. It doesn't fill any niche for me, so I'll pass. But if a person is excited by it, I hope it does everything they want it to do.
