Illegal Thermal Use

Yah, they gotta find a way to get ahead of this BS. I've had a couple run-ins with clowns using thermals and drones right in the middle of archery season and acting like there's nothing wrong with it.

One guy I met at a trailhead walking back in the dark and he was all geared up to hit the ridgetop a couple miles in and scan for elk with his $3k thermal. After talking a bit, it was pretty apparent all he cared about was what he was gonna put on the Gram that hunting season. The other guy was parked at the same spot I was going to walk in from and scout the night before opener, except instead of walking all the way in, he was 100 yards over the hill watching the video of his drone footage looking down into the creek bottoms. Some guys just don't give a shit, but if at least if there's laws on the books we can call TIP MONT and give them a description or license plate number, at the very least. Gotta do something before it's too far gone.

There’s a hearing coming up on SB 63 in a week or so. You should testify and tell the committee about your experiences. The bill falls way short of what needs to happen in my opinion but it’s at least a slight improvement over what we have currently. Here’s a link to the bill draft.

If a person doesn't think that thermals are an EXTREME advantage while both scouting and hunting big game animals, they need a mental health check.

I mean...

Any modern weapon seems like an extreme advantage compared to 100 years ago. Surely 1000 years ago...and surely seems like an extreme advantage against an animal that historically, statistically, has been killed by sticks and stones, to be fair.

But modern glass is an extreme advantage to iron sights. As are rangefinders. E scouting. It all offers "extreme advantage".

Where is your line for "extreme advantage"? Ironsight to Swarovski is bugle tube to thermal is spearchucking to 28 nosler.

×Ahh it's a fun toy, it could increase Hunter efficacy and must be bad even though some biologist or state actor decide x amount of animal are cool to die but they don't get to die by recurve and moccasins and some made up small metric uses them in ⅒ poaching cases therefore bad! Ahh×

Going to have to get a crossbow and see if the therms or NV fit on em...should net me 200% success rates.

Or X-ray! Then I can shoot females carrying young. Like a real twofer!
