We couldn't afford the good glue...prolly a good thing. It used to be the thing in the childhoods of our fathers. Probably every one of them did mercury dimes or knew a kid who did. It was the kids who ate paint chips that turned out weird.
During my single days I had a male malamute that knew every land owner 5 miles in every direction. When I personally knew who every landowner was for at least 5 miles in any direction from home.
I was an Air Force brat, growing up. The Cuban missile crisis was a searing memory from my childhood. I was very accustomed to to the base being on alert. That did not come close to the tension felt for those few days. Everyone was quite certain that the end was eminent. The relief when the crisis passed, was equally palpable.
I too remember when it was easy to cross the border. Took a 16yo girlfriend to Niagara once about turn of the century. All we needed was her driving learner’s permit and a note from her parents that it was alright with them if I took their daughter out of country.
You mentioned the border NE states and they’re fine, though I don’t see it as a fair trade to visit. Just that province alone has Windsor, the better falls, Spanish R. provincial park, hot babes of Sudbury, Georgian Bay. You see? I’d much rather drop $ on that vacation than some shitty lobster roll in the snooty Downeast.
I prefer the magnum mag light.Gutting elk holding a Mag Light mini mag in your mouth.
Much better than any night stick. Ask me how I knowI prefer the magnum mag light.
I can recall a couple of my dad’s friends installed a mount on the rear window of their single cab pickups for magnum mag lights, just under their gun rack. I remember as probably a 6-8 year old thinking that was so bad ass.I prefer the magnum mag light.
I’ve been a professional athlete on and off since highschool. Snowboarding in my younger years and now tree climbing. I use to brag about those things. Having kids changes that a lot. I hope I’ll be bragging about how awesome my kids are and how great our relationship is. All the other stuff is fun but comes and goes like the wind. You youngsters don't realize how quickly the time will come when you start remembering.
@Dsnow9 ...before you know it you will be bragging about how you once was a badass tree guy.
