Well first two days spent in are first unit of choices with no luck. Found older elk sign from this year but looks like they have moved on. Dropped down from 11,500 feet to 9,600 then had to make are way back up. This task was physically demanding. We in no way thought it was going to be that bad but it was, 7 hours to get back to the truck. We decided to change unit and are headed to salida now.

Trips like that back to the truck can make you grateful for not killing a elk. Hows the weather been?

Yeah a lot lol....we had to cut are trip short by 4 days. Brother works for Clay electric and has to be ready if the storm tears stuff up and we got to get ready around arr homes

We had a blast. Seen lots of critter but unfortunately didn't harvest a elk. Back to the flat woods for some whitetail hunting
