If I go in the next couple of years, it will be with this guy. My brother has no interest because of the low odds, another hunting partner has no interest in just tagging along, a third hunting partner is getting old like me, and the newest guy usually has so many hunts lined up each fall that it is unlikely he could get away for 10 days. Luckily, my old college roommate, basically a non-hunter, has rekindled his enthusiasm for backpacking after a trip we went on last year. In college, he was always the “Where are we going this weekend” type, and I think he would be onboard for a stab at an unlimited area.In my opinion you need somebody from one of the following categories.
-someone that is experienced and
Competent in the mountains but has absolutely no interest in hunting.
I wish i could go with him too......☹If I go in the next couple of years, it will be with this guy. I'm pretty sure that @MTGomer and @theat would qualify for the First round draft pics category IMO as well.Of course, MTGomer (or theat) would be my first choice but who I was actually thinking about was:
“-someone that is experienced and

Your drafted don't shit yourself haha......Can’t be drafted when you’ve been sent back to have a 7x red shirt year.
Oh its public..Guess I missed that one. Was it public on another site?
Pretty much lines a future hunt for 300..... no scouting requiredOh its public..

Hard to believe that a dude kills a sheep in the UL and his buddy posts pics of the background and spot. Smh
Well stated, friend.Well that takes all the fun out of it. This hunt is about so much more than pulling the trigger.
Yeah, screw it. Post away, those other guys that have spent years learning it don't matter. Just give away hard earned info for instant satisfaction. Seems more and more common everyday. I've seen some doozies posted recently. OTC tags, big animals, in spots people have overlooked forever... not any more. People are just too excited and don't think. The buddy might be a non-hunter and can't believe that anyone would want to repeat seven years later, no?
