I can't complain about the rodent, a small mouse, as it let me share its space under the rock slab two nights in a row--didn't strike me as foul, cruel or bad-tempered in the least. Moreover, it didn't even chew up any of my gear or crap in my hat like other of its kin had done during some of my past outings.

I just checked 502 status. It was weird, showing quota of 3 and 2 taken, yet pending closure on 26 November. What's with that? Then, before I could navigate here to report, the quota refreshed to 2 males, which I understand was the quota for 2021 all along.

Anyhow, looks like 502 is about to wrap up for this season.

I did that exact same thing when I shot my moose.

It's normal to have a window licker moment every so often congrats on the ram!
