Football General Talk

What amazes me is Demeco Ryan's basically blamed Trevor. What an idiot. Did Trevor lift Azeez's forearm into the UFC position to try and knock him out.

I don't think the hit was necessarily intentionally, but Azeez has a history or dirty hits back to his bang bang niner gang days. So I think that played a lot into the 3 games instead of 2.

I guess I’m in the minority, but I don’t know how you expect a defender to check up in that situation. You have a QB who decided to run the ball and slide at the last possible second. Part of the blame has to be on Lawrence. He could have slid sooner. Either that or man up and lower your shoulder if you want to be a running back.

Really, he came in leading with an elbow at about the height of a man's knee, if he was upright. That is an unusual tackling technique. I think he did exactly what he intended to do. At best, he was hoping to hit him a split second sooner.

Football is a very violent game. The players accept that. They should not have to accept that other players are trying to maim them for life.

Sean Payton was mentioned above. It repulses me that he is again coaching in the NFL. The Broncos are a logical geographical team for me to cheer for. That will not happen while he coaches the team.

I agree it is a challenge, but look how he threw out his forearms - it was clearly intentional. AlSo, look at the hundreds of other times his peers pull up in the same situation. He is a repeat offender who has no place in the game.

3 games feels about right, but it has to come with a “next time you do this you are on the commissioner’s ineligible list for the next decade.” And the D-coach and head coach would also get fined and taken off the field for a season. Leadership starts at the top.

Love's decision making and skill at the line pre snap is looking horrible so far. Not a good start for them.
You’d struggle to make decisions if Zadarius Smith was all up in your business like that. The o-line needs to step it up. And the penalties continue to ruin the packers.

we got ourselves a good TNF game. Who would have thunk it?
They talked about that in the packers radio pregame. Both teams are on a week of preparation since they both played on Thanksgiving. When the teams aren’t on a week of preparation Thursday night football sucks.
