I guess I’m in the minority, but I don’t know how you expect a defender to check up in that situation. You have a QB who decided to run the ball and slide at the last possible second. Part of the blame has to be on Lawrence. He could have slid sooner. Either that or man up and lower your shoulder if you want to be a running back.
I agree it is a challenge, but look how he threw out his forearms - it was clearly intentional. AlSo, look at the hundreds of other times his peers pull up in the same situation.
