Feds to break up 9th Circuit Court?

CJ,

Sure, as I don't look at money as an item of worship or as a religious symbol. If you choose to worship your money, then I have pity on you. It is an article that facilitates trade, nothing more. I assure you my checks in my checkbook don't say "In God we Trust", nor does my American Express Card, or my VISA card, and I am able to buy everything I need with them.

And last time I looked at most stock certificates or bond certificates, there were no religious sayings on them.

Hey DanR,
How has your life been affected by the change in the Pledge of Alegiance? Did you even bother to say it this morning?

Why do you ask Gummer? Are you suddenly becoming concerned about me? I doubt it. What are you saying? Just because there is no direct affect (the same as effect for this purpose) on me now, I should just blow it off and let it go? Not be concerned? Is that where you're going with this line?

Gunner, are your checks in your checkbook, your visa card, and your american express card issued by the government? You should be outraged that government issued legal tender has "In God we Trust".

Uhhh.....No...

The checks are "issued" by some cheap check printing company that puts cool pictures of Sponge Bob on them for $3.95 a box. They are drawn on a bank in the Cayman Islands that has no concern for what religion I practice.

And although the word "American" is in the American Express Company's name, it is not actually a government agency... |oo

While i am not a very religious man ...I think the 9th circus and the A.C.L.U. go way,way overboard in messing.. with tradition and just plain "good" things. The ten commandments for example are ten good rules [religion excluded] to live by, it wouldn`t bother me to see them posted in every school and courthouse in america. These things are just plain "good" things to look at and read...why not re-enforce good thoughts and standards? These idiotic groups go too far just to prove that they can....they do more harm than good...and how are they helping anyone? Thats why i can`t stand most lawyers...win because you can no matter who it hurts.

Breaking up the 9th Circus should be a good thing. EG, why don't you answer the question(s)?????? |oo :BLEEP: :BLEEP: :BLEEP: :D :D

CJ,

The problem with a lot of your "plain good" is that every group would be required to have access to "plain good". You can't discriminate based upon religion. So you also need "In Allah we Trust" and "In Buddah we Trust". For every 10 Commandments monument, you would need passages from the Koran.

Boise just took their 10 Commandements monument down because some looney-Tune right-wing conservative republican wanted to put up some hate monument. He was a troublemaker from Kansas who was trying to get some Right-Wing hate crap put up all across the country.

And if the only way you can live a "good" life is by having the Ten Commandments posted in every public building, then God have mercy on your soul.

Gummer, You still haven't answered the questions. Besides, if you read the Korhan, or the Torah, or the Old Testament, you'll find that they are three different versions of the same story. Oh?? Aren't the Ten Commandments found in the Old Testament?
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM???????????

Uhh....DanR,
Make sure you take the Medicine for "Sunday" today.....

Are you even still sharp enough to understand the arguments that are resulting in the 10 Commandments being removed?

Gummer, I am plenty sharp enough to understand a direct question when it's posed to me. I am also sharp enough to provide direct answers to direct questions. The answer to your question is YES. Now please do me the courtesy of answering my questions.

Thank You.

Hey DanR,

Are you one of the Right Wing nuts that think the roman numerals outside of the Supreme Court building are for the Ten Commandments????

Make sure you take all the medication....

Gunner maybe you have misunderstood what i`m saying...i`m not trying to "push' anything new or add..or change anything...just defending "good wholesome values' and these values such as the [ten commandments] are favored by the "Majority" of Americans. The Majority of Americans don`t have a problem with the [ten commandments] but a bunch of dickhead lawyers/judges aka 9th circus court don`t care what most americans want.... i can live fine with or without these things [your overreaction]...but i think they are good solid rules...just like when we "used" to pledge allegance to the flag at school in the good old days.....whats wrong with some common sense and decency?

Hey...my class still says the pledge every day...than again, I teach 1st grade on an Air Force Base, so I can't imagine getting any complaints from parents!!

CJ,

Our government and constitution is set up to protect the minority from the Majority. We used to have all sorts of segregation laws designed to oppress the minority by the Majority. Thankfully, in the name of progress, we have decided they should be gone.

Just because a "majority" wants something, it doesn't make it right. What happens when the "majority" no longer want hunting? Are we done?

Gussieppe,
Do you guys still have the "Under God" line in the Pledge? What about the kids in town?

There you go again talking about stuff from a revisionist standpoint, again. Did you ever stop to think that the present state of mind of the population of this country was unthinkable when the Constitution was written?

Oh, and are you ever going to answer the questions?

Yup, we still say "Under God". I'm not sure about in town, but when I was substituting there a few years ago, we still said the entire pledge. I am pretty sure they still do, but not 100% sure.
