I was finally able to connect on my first bull after four years of chasing them. I’ve had luck with cow tags, but never a bull. Happy to have a good bull and meat in the freezer.

Last week I was able to harvest a beautiful Colorado 6x6 with my rifle. Thanks to Randy and all the posters on Hunt Talk I was able to enter my hunt with numerous tips to make it successful.

This was my first elk, 1973, I was 12 and shot him with a .300 Savage, with peep sights. I thought all elk had big racks. Bitterroot Valley!
