Elk .... Let's see them!!!

First elk hunt. DIY Public land NM. I never thought I would ever get to elk hunt, and now I want to do it again and again! I drew the tag before I found Randy Newberg, and I managed to find a weekend to scout this spring. After scouting I determined there was a I high probability that I had burned over $500. Two weeks before my hunt I found Randy Newberg and immediately determined that he was the first hunter I’d ever seen on a show that looked like he was really hunting and his information gave me the knowledge and the confidence that I needed to stick it out.

This a bull taken by my friends 15 year old daughter. The picture does not give it justice in how heavy it is. He has 4 daughters and they have all taken nice bulls.

This is my 2012 Wyoming Archery Bull. He is my best elk to date.

It's my dream to someday take a bull elk with my bow, and that's a monster. I'm 70 now, so I don't have a lot of archery hunts in my future, but I'll still dream and keep trying 'till I can't do it anymore.
