But everyone thinks they are the above crowdStatistically, 50% of the US population is ~100 IQ or below. Let that sink in....
Absolutely.I'm not certain, but I would think that there would have to be legislative approval to fund this endeavor.
MAGA may be able to point to cost savings over long periods of time with a reduction in force but in the next year or so, there would be no way that paying even a small percent of takers what is essentially a severance could be considered cost effective.
Similarly, it's harder to hold onto a really good one because incentive structures are tied up in bureaucracy. If this actually goes through, the good ones that stick it out are going to have more work for no more pay and probably worse working conditions. I think every single employee offered the resignation should take it. Everything grinds to a halt, there's nowhere near enough money to pay 8 months of everybody's salary at once, and suddenly people appreciate the services these workers provide when they're taken away. The one thing I can say is that it seems like it’s harder to fire a poor government employee.
That's another misconception. It's actually pretty easy if a Manager does their job.The one thing I can say is that it seems like it’s harder to fire a poor government employee.
That's horrible advice, but I appreciate the spirit!Similarly, it's harder to hold onto a really good one because incentive structures are tied up in bureaucracy. Corrective actions paper work is an amazing paper trail that those paper pushers love to follow. That's another misconception. It's actually pretty easy if a Manager does their job.
And then we get back to the fact that someone isn’t doing their job…That's another misconception. It's actually pretty easy if a Manager does their job.
Only if the supervisor's supervisor isn't doing their job!And then we get back to the fact that someone isn’t doing their job…
Happens in the corporate world too. It’s why we have performance reviews and employee ratings. And then we get back to the fact that someone isn’t doing their job…
Why do you think this place is so busy between the hours of 8am and 5pm.This thread is interesting, I never realized how many HTers have some form of government job.
I can't fire a Manager. And then we get back to the fact that someone isn’t doing their job…
If you read my first post that’s exactly what I said.Happens in the corporate world too. It’s why we have performance reviews and employee ratings.
There are people that would be bad employees irregardless of the employers. Others are in the wrong place for the skill set.
Touché! That’s a real concern in the current work force situation..I can't fire a Manager.
An electrician would always be hungover on like Tues or Weds (4 day week). When asked why not wait till the weekend he would reply with "I'm not going to waste my own time being hungover, I'm going to waste my employers time." Wise. Why do you think this place is so busy between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Yes. Exempt from hiring freeze and buyout if I’m not mistaken.I wonder if there will be more openings in ICE for anyone wanting to work for the feds?
