I have two dogs that can destruct the "indestructible" dog toys in under 30 minutes. Curious if anyone on here has actually found a dog toy that lasts. I have two of the original kong toys already but looking for other things that might be more fun for the pups.

I've been down the same road.
I purchased Nylabones a couple of years ago and they hold up really well. They are designed to wear down over time, but they last and aren't expensive.

Besides the black kong series, we end up buying whatever is on the clearance rack and is the cheapest. It may only last an hour but they sure do have fun dragging its corpse around.

I used to think Kongs were indestructible for my English Pointers and Llewellins Setters then my wife picked up a little female runt mixed breed pit. She shredded those Kongs😅

Black rubber always tougher than red. I have 2 German Shepherds and my male is a tank. The only thing that has really lasted are called Jolly Balls. Tie a hank of rope on it and you can throw them pretty good. We started with the large one but it's a bear to throw at distance. I have small medium and large. This picture is a small ball. Rubber chuck it balls last a while too for us retrieving, the rubber ones not the tennis ball style.20250109_104254.jpg

The struggle with the GSD hair is for real!

Jolly balls aren't inside toys either so there's that...he likes to put his in his food bowl when he eats...lol!! I love these dog threads.

I think we got a week before the handle was chewed off the jolly ball that we bought. But at least the poops laced with bright red plastic were easy to see.
Ha! Yea i guess mine don't really chew them as a "chew toy". Maybe I didn't do the question justice.

Any toy that will stand up to a serious aggressive chewer is gonna be hard on their teeth. No way around it. We give them frozen cattle meat bones but they have to be in moderation because they are hard on the teeth. Not smoked bones, have to be raw.

We did this drill last week...my wife bought an "indestructible" nylon bear, the heeler had it in shreds within 2 days while the border collie cheered her on, stuffing all over the house. Kongs and similar are the only things that last around here, I've also bought a couple of the big Jolly Balls, they go about a year before she totally destroys them...

Not sure if there's different grades of Jolly out there but ours are in the Equine section at the local feed store as well, not the dog aisle. I could see the handle getting chewed off if you left them to chew at it.
