Heading to Dillon today. Any suggestions on where to eat lunch?

Taco bus is just about the only place not from a Sysco truck and even then I'm not sure that's true. If they're not open Sparkys

Calf-A in Dell if you are coming from Idaho. Though I haven't been there in a while.

I've eaten at the Taco Bus and enjoyed it, but I didn't realize the cuisine options in Dillon were so dire.

Totally agree. The Branding Iron (BBQ) or Los Coritas (Mexican restaurant downtown) might actually be better options. There is an Asian Food truck that is good but she's only open in the evening.

Another vote for the Calf A in Dell. Just cool history.

Otherwise get to the bus its on the north side of town on the main road. Get the street tacos.

Muffaletta's (sp?) was good for lunch. Different, but good.

I haven't been to Sparky's in a few years, but before that every time I went there it was great. If it's really gone down hill that much I'm bummed.

It really is shocking how bad the food options are in Dillon. Seems like a person could make a killing there if they opened a restaurant worth a damn.

I've found Dell Calf-A to be hit or miss. I've had some really good meals there, but some really bad ones also. Beats anything in Dillon though.

I used to eat at the Hitching Post in Melrose quite a bit. It was always pretty good.

Good Lord! Must be some real foodies on here. My son played college ball for Western so we were there quite a bit for 5 years. I didn't find the food that bad or bad at all actually. Sparky's was always good. We also went to Papa T's a lot since it was usually a bunch of football players with us. Good pizza, burgers, beer and such.

Wagon Wheel in Twin Bridges is pretty solid for sure.
Hitching Post is definitely top notch....if you make it there early enough get a breakfast sandwich!

Things have changed significantly over the last couple years. Most places have gone down hill partially because they can't get decent employees others because they got lazy.

Got it. My son graduated 3 years back so we don't get there much anymore. We always had a good time in Dillon.

Agree! Now, I always eat at Calf-A after my elk hunt, so it may be due to eating Mountain House for two weeks, but all I know is that at that moment, they have the world's best cheeseburger!
Don't let the facade throw you off!

I actually had a darn good Mexican meal there but don't remember if it was the taco bus or not.
On another note the beer was good wherever it was I met Mthunter (Grant) for drinks there...

Sadly that was the best place for burgers and beers and they closed because the dude had a few drug problems that caught up with him. It reopened as another stupid casino
