How do y'all go about getting info to contact landowners for permission to hunt? I'm on OnX and it says their name, etc... but wondering the best way to get a phone number to connect with them?

I was reading another thread and the OP said they got names and numbers for landowners that usually let people hunt their land from the local warden in the unit they drew their tag for.

Do you have that link? I can’t find it

Best way? Face to face outside of hunting season, and at least a few months in advance. I take a road trip during the summer to scout, and make contact. I offer help around their place. I know it’s a lot, but it works. In my local area I start as a coyote hunter generally. I build a relationship and work up to big game.

You work at a custom butchershop ever since you got out of school and make good friends with the ranchers and then get permission to hunt their place. At least that's what worked for me 😁😆

I own a few acres of mostly dryland farm ground with some pasture. Not really a destination hunting spot but I do have a few critters. I mostly get road hunters who see something then come looking for permission. I would prefer face to face and would likely say no if someone just called and said hey can I go kill the antelope hanging out in your field.

All kinds of ways, knocking on doors, talking to game wardens, spending a little time in the local taverns

Never been able to find the phone number on the name of a trust. Thanks for your input. Any other thoughts on how to get the contact info?
If its a trust, well they don't want you to know who owns it or how to get ahold of them. One of the points of a trust, llc, and some corporations. However if you find the name of the trustee of that trust, you could try that. And before you ask, I'm not sure how to look that up.

The state's Secretary of State office. LLC's and sub chapter S corporation's officers are listed there.
