Would taking him to get his hunting and fishing license be a possibility?

Great idea, but he's already done that. I'd buy him some preference points to hunt with me here in Wyoming one day, but that doesn't happen until summer.

A high quality headlamp would be a great gift. I have a Petzl and it's awesome. Every good hunter needs a good head lamp and a high quality one is $25-30.

I pondered that for a while too, but his Mom spoils the heck out of him and his sister, and they both pretty much get whatever they want. Worried he may already have one. Sooooo different from when I was growing up on the farm!
