Cats Aren't Trophies

"What a tangled web we weave when first we weave to deceive."

Good move. Does anyone know what the repercussions will be if found guilty? Hopefully they toss them out of the commission at a minimum.
Imagine maliciously and knowingly affecting voter influence based on your role in CPW, fail, and get sued over it.

Craziest part is they truly believe they're the "good guy's" and probably won't lose a wink of sleep over it.

I will be at this meeting, hope to see some other HTers. Please feel free to copy and share meeting info.

Come to New Castle Colorado on December 17 to hear about and provide comment on the next phase of wolf reintroduction and CPW intention to release additional wolves in Garfield County, Eagle County or Pitkin County in January. Details below.

COMMUNITY NOTICE 12.3.24
Garfield County hosting public meeting on wolf reintroduction Community event with CPW takes place in New Castle on December 17 GARFIELD COUNTY, CO – Garfield County is hosting a public community meeting on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, with Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) regarding wolf reintroduction in Garfield, Eagle, and Pitkin counties.

The public is encouraged to attend and provide comments during the meeting, which takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. at New Hope Church, 880 Castle Valley Blvd., New Castle. The reintroduction measure, known as Proposition 114, was narrowly passed by Colorado voters in 2020, 51 to 49 percent, but was opposed in Garfield County, 63 to 37 percent. The measure required CPW to create a plan to reintroduce and manage gray wolves on lands west of the Continental Divide in Colorado no later than December 31, 2023. Ten wolves were reintroduced into the state in December of 2023 by CPW and the next release is slated to take place in either Garfield, Eagle, or Pitkin County.

Lawsuit settled.

They should have had their a$$’s kicked off the commission!!!!

Instead they receive “additional training”….What a freaking joke!!!!

The CPW is a disgrace, full of incompetent fools.

I will say it is quite disappointing that these commissioners were never held accountable for openly lying in an attempt to mislead voters and leverage their position on the commission. They willfully violated the CPW Commission communications policy in the process. Complete lack of leadership from DNR Director Dan Gibbs and Commission Chair Dallas May as they couldn’t find the moral courage to say or do anything. Sen Dylan Roberts even pressed May on it during his confirmation in the natural resources committee, May defaulted to his usual spineless equivocation.

So, they are saying they just "signed our names" on a document that was going public? That's pretty stupid in itself. So we have commissioners who are ignorant and stupid... good combination.

Actually worse than that, openly deceptive and dishonest. Beaulieu, in the first commission meeting she attended since the article, doubled down by defiantly stating that she stood behind everything in the article and she is done discussing it.

Don't confuse the CPW staff with a few dishonest commissioners. Polis nominated them and the Dems (not all of them) and a few R's (if I remember correctly) in the Senate confirmed them. Just like SB3, they don't care about facts, they are going to push their holier-than-thou agenda as far as they can. The good news is they can be stopped (Prop 127 for example), but it takes more than just bitching on the internet.
Get involved!
