Gastro Gnome - Eat Better Wherever

Your still clutching the hand grip...

You have to relax your fore hand so the fingers are just sitting there and the weight of the bow is sitting on the ball of your hand.

If you don't, it has a tendency to pull one way or another and you will never get a good group at a distance consistently... :)

Thats good shooting though... :D

Thanks Elkchsr. I will try and relax it every time. I was trying and did manage to relax the grip some of the time but when the photos were took I guess I got stage frite and grab on tight. OOOOPPPPSSSS

LOL.. It happens to every one...

One thing you can do when standing close, is to close your eyes, imagine all of the moves, then with eyes closed, draw, feeling every move that needs to be practiced, you have to be very close to the target for this, pull the bow back, feel all you are doing and supposed to be doing, then slowly pull the release...

With a little practice, it gets to where you know when your doing some thing wrong, it works pretty well... :)

Open your hand on your release and relax your trigger hand some, it is a little tense, this will have a tendency to make you jerk your finger if your not thinking about it, or you may end up twisting your trigger hand if your standing in an akward position.

trip to edmonston

hey guys ,went to edmondston over the long weekend, got some nice pictures though the place they were taken was man made but really nice.it is a botanical garden they have all kinds of trees and plants was very interesting just a few pictures

Nice

I had no idea that Edmunston had such a spot. Man that looks nice. But I also see you were at the Blue canoe restaurant here in the Fredericton area and I found no messages on my phone sayin you was in town. What is up with that. :) Just kidding. Next time if you have some time look me up in the phone book and I can meet you for a coffee if I am not to busy.

Ben also can anyone go and pay to shoot at the 3D range you go to? If I can some time I am down to my Parents in Salisbury I would go give it a try. :D

sorry bruce, just stoped for gas ,next time i will try to get a hold of you.i was in a hurry cause my grandma passed away,i had to come back for the funeral, but next time im up i will try to get a hold of you ,would be nice to see the robin hood of fredericton ha ha see you later

OH boy do I need more practice with the bow. LOL
I did well to keep the arrows on the target last night. (the reason for no photos).
It was sad. I could not buy a group any closer that 12inch but I will say this. We had more laughs and had a ball. I added a quiver to the side of the bow and I think it will take me some time to get used to it on there. I may even have to go as far as to take it off and go with a quiver that is on my back or hip.
Overall though it is still a lot of fun.

you hqve good shoots and bad shoots everybody has them ,just stick to basics and you will improve,i have been in a major slump for a little bit now so i decided to take a little break from the bow,but i will need to start shooting soon

here is a question for you folks.
Broad heads (spelling may be off) varry in size shape and blade configuration. What I am wondering is what is your preference in the number of blades? 1, 2, 3, 4 or mechanical that open on contact? Just looking for opinions.

Also Ben do you order your arrows in or do you buy them from a supplier in Moncton?

I use those 100 grain thunderheads, they will take a lot of abuse, there are better ones on the market now, but they were top of the line only a few years ago and I have quite a few... :)
