Yup, the fence keeps the bears/wolves away from tents. The hunt was awesome, there's a thread with lots of pics in the Other Big Game forum, here's a teaser...I went with another OYOA member, The Nikster.

We didn't do any hunting, but we did manage to put a couple hours in fishing with the kids.

Family reunion this weekend up at my Uncle's place in Forest county PA.

This is as far as my wife(still only one good leg) gets into the back country these days. I've had this tent for 18 years, and carried it all over the world until I started to sleep under a tarp.

Here's the rack we fabricated to cook over the open fire.

Cool thread, ran into while searching for tent ideas. I think I'm going to go with the Cabelas Alaskan guide tent for my family during the summer as well as hunting season. Hopefully get a wall tent someday!

Those are sweet, I saw the Davis tent sale, but I need something a little more user friendly for me and the wife for now. A wall tent is a little heavy and cumbersome for car camping in the summer.

My 2 man set up is a 14' x 16' wall tent with a 10' awning out the front.
wall to wall carpet, propane heat, and a 3000 watt Honda generator to run camp.

Bighorns 2014 for elk and deer. Had a couple different camps, got a lot more snow than I wanted for archery. Couldn't hunt a few days cause it was so crunchy.
